Monitor all funding coming into the Economic Development Team including funding for major programmes from the European Regional Development Fund and the North West Development Agency and ensure all expenditure is eligible.Key projects developed and managed at the time included the iconic DREAM and the Local Enterprise Growth Initiative.

The project was a key enterprise development tool to engage schools and their students to adopt an entrepreneurial attitude. The project also successfully engaged the voluntary/social sector allowing for a genuine partnership approach. This role was key to developing and managing time limited projects and developing structured project and relationship.

Working with stakeholders including Local Authorities, Universities and the Private Sector to ensure knowledge and information was up to date. Specific role included development of the Merseyside Competitiveness Programme and update of the Assisted Area maps.

Management of a multi million pound ESF funded job creation Programme in the South Sefton area. Responsible for project appraisal and financial management. Developed experience of recruiting for positions across sectors and maintaining relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
