After hearing the "Thwompf" sound of the T. Rex foot in Jurassic Park in a cinema in 1993, I knew I wanted to work in post production sound. (Even at 8 years old).Fast forward a bit through various media summer schools, a National Diploma and a Foundation Degree and I've now been fortunate enough to work in sound for TV for over 20 years. Climbing up the ladder from runner, to audio assistant, and finally becoming a mixer. Whether it's the balancing and manipulating of the audio elements to create an engaging Final Mix, recording ADR, Foley, or editing dialogue - every process gives me a buzz like no other. Through all of my experience and development during this time, I've learned that I get my greatest satisfaction from:- Genuinely connecting with people.- Collaborating with talented individuals who share the same passions, to realise and bring to life a vision.- Combining technical and creative mixing skills to achieve the highest possible standard of work.- Constantly learning new technologies and techniques.- (Maintaining a professional approach BUT having a jolly good giggle whilst doing all of the above - 𝐸𝑠𝑠𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑎𝑙).I have been fortunate enough to recently win an Emmy for best sound in a Documentary for "Incredible Animal Journeys", and nominated on several best sound awards including RTS, Broadcast Tech Innovation, and various film festivals. I strive for perfection and give 100% of myself to any project I am involved with. So whoever you are and wherever you are from; I very much look forward to working with you.
