I've spent the last two years honing my skills as a "one-man-band" reporter. I do it all everyday from generating stories in my beat, shooting, editing, writing and then fronting my stories live. Looking for my next job that allows me to tell impactful stories in a creative way.

As an assignment desk assistant I help to spearhead news gathering, fact checking and researching. I am also sent out often to field produce planned interviews or breaking news. Everyday is different and that is what I love about the job. On occasion, I am asked to write VO's or VOSOTS for newscasts.

I was responsible for making daily beat calls, confirming information and setting up interviews. On occasion, I was asked to write VOSOTS for nightly newscasts. I also shadowed reporters and photographers on stories.

I essentially worked as an unpaid newspaper reporter. After recieving my assignments, I would set up and do the interviews, take the pictures and write the stories that appeared in print and online in Ottawa Delievered Newspaper each week.
