About Andy Dibble
I am a fully qualified Carpenter/Builder with over 20 years of general building experience with 20 years experience in the insurance industry initially as a Carpenter then a Surveyor and Repair/Contracts Manager. I have an excellent knowledge of all aspects of carpentry and building and have undertaken many other disciplines including decorating, tiling and plumbing. In 1999 whilst working as a Carpenter for Homeserve I was offered the opportunity to progress into Insurance Claim Surveying. During this time I was promoted to Repairs Manager and continued in this field until April 2007. I gained a wealth of knowledge and experience, details of which are listed below. I then moved to Redrose as a Contracts Manager where I worked until 2009 when unfortunately business was not to healthy. I decided to fall back on my trade and purchased a van. Following a year as a self employed sub contractor I joined Cipher UK then known as MA Build as an insurance surveyor/contracts manager. part of the MA Assist group of companies. I had 3 and a half good years there until I joined Expert Property Group as a client manager in October 2016. I have recently taken over responsibility for our new contract with LV= surveying and managing under the new model of direct ownership with claims coming straight from LV and owning from cradle to grave. I am organised and punctual and having always worked with, or for, the general public which means I have excellent communication skills. I try to maintain a positive attitude to every situation both at work and in my personal life whilst using these attributes to display a high level of professionalism at all times.

Complaint handling resolving any customer complaints by dealing with customers directly to satisfactory conclusion. Building client and loss adjuster relationships with on site and pre-start visits.

Employed by Woodland Commercial as a working foreman. My main responsibilities were attending pre-start meetings with Clients and Directors particularly for C.D.M projects. My site role consisted of inducting all trades and visitors upon entering site and ensuring they had also signed the site attendance register and had the correct P.P.E. I had responsibility for coordinating trades and allocating our direct trades and sub contractors their tasks for the day. Mainly working from prepared drawings I was responsible for checking all works were carried out according to these drawings. Highly experienced in all aspects of carpentry including kitchen fitting, 1st and 2nd fixing and other trade disciplines including decorating, tiling and like for like plumbing. Responsible for managing a team of about twenty various tradesmen and one office based Works Co-ordinator. I covered an area of designated postcodes, which changed periodically from Hertfordshire to Central and Outer London areas. I visited private and commercial properties that had been through the claim validation process and were undergoing repairs by the company.Ensuring the unit of tradesmen were on task and that the job was running to schedule both time and financial. Keeping all aspects of the job in line with the report and keeping all parties informed of progress. Liaising daily with loss adjusters and insurance companies. When works were complete I was responsible for collating and inputting all relevant paperwork to prepare the final invoice before sending it to the insurance companies for payment.
Claims Surveyor
Visiting up to six pre-booked appointments per day. On arrival and inspection of damage and validation I created a schedule of works to be used by the Co-ordinator and tradesmen. Managing the insurance claims process from validation to producing the scope of works required to remediate properties following damage by flood, fire and subsidence etc. Initially scoping of the repair works using a hand held tablet P.C. Ensuring as much information as possible is gathered and documented. Listing the works in best order to enable co-ordinators to book work to commence with as much ease as possible. Pricing the required works and commissioning of necessary specialist reports if required. Followed by management of the claims process and ensuring client satisfaction.
Carpenter/ Multi Trade
To carry out works described on supplied job sheets. Including all aspects of household carpentry, decorating and tiling. Responsible for accurately measuring and calculating amounts of different materials, organizing deliveries to site and overseeing less experienced trades. To carry out these duties whilst keeping the properties clean and well protected and also keeping the home owner informed of all works and order of works. Daily reports back to the Repair Manager on progress.

This small building company is owned by my family and is still currently in business and being run by my brother. During my ten years employment I carried out all aspects of building work including carpentry, decorating and tiling and only left when my family decided to down size the company and I decided I wanted to broaden my experience.
