Lead a directorate of up to 85 staff who develop, implement, manage, and monitor national-level grant programs in support of State, local and Tribal law enforcement.• Competitively awarded 500+ million in grant funding to hundreds of local governments to combat the most high profile public safety issues, including violent crime, human trafficking, and school safety. • Directed the development of grant programs for law enforcement to keep schools safe, leading to funding thousands of new School Resource Officers, as well as metal detectors, locks, and school safety assessments.• Assisted with creation of the Blue Alert Network, which allows rapid dissemination of information when a law enforcement officer is missing, killed, or seriously injured in the line of duty.• Oversaw the development of a semi-automated grants system to streamline workflow, reduce errors, and decrease costs.• Directed a comprehensive reorganization of the COPS Office IT Department, improving services and saving millions.

Directly supervised up to 12 staff, and responsible for implementing over $200 million in mission-critical grant programs annually to support State, local and tribal law enforcement agencies. • Developed, implemented and supervised the management of new grant programs, including those designed to combat methamphetamine use/distribution and child sexual predators.• Ensured implementation of grant programs consistent with applicable laws, policies, and regulations .• Interacted daily with high-level local officials (Mayors, Police Chiefs, etc.) to coordinate important law enforcement projects.• Served as Compliance Officer, and worked with colleagues and external customers to resolve OIG audit findings.
