My career at Pilot Air Freight evolved over 3 decades, beginning with a position of Corporate Accounting Manager, quickly transitioning to VP of Finance and working directly for the President of the company, I supervised a 32-member team, and effectively developed cost saving and revenue generating plans, internal processes and controls that successfully increased profits from break-even to $27M. In 1998, I was promoted to CFO and capably managed all company financial activities, consistently developing strategic initiatives that contributed to overall growth. I provided oversight to all financial units and provided instrumental support through financial modeling, investment management and created company protocols including - a 13-week cash-flow forecast, monthly reporting and an early retirement benefit financial package. In 2016, I played a fundamental part in the purchase of the company by a private equity firm, engaging in marketing, preparing comprehensive financial reports and presentations that facilitated the transition to the benefit of all parties.
