Senior It Business Analyst
CurrentLeaving a permanent position with IBM, I initially joined Barclays’ Wealth Direct programme as an independent contractor, in the role of Lead Business Analyst. Eight months later, I was head-hunted and joined Barclays Wealth on a permanent contract.I was assigned to the Order Management & Execution (OM&E) work package for the majority of my first 4 years but did work on other packages too. OM&E is one of the largest and most complex work packages in the Wealth Direct programme. It supports the implementation of an Order Servicing capability on two discrete platforms. Barclays uses a group of 20+ Retail Service Providers who act as counterparties for buying and selling London Stock Exchange (LSE) Assets.I have been responsible for all aspects of the Business Analysis from initial requirements gathering (incl. process maps) to detailed analysis (incl. Use Cases, User Stories, Business Rules, UX/UI Design, Copywriting). I have created slide decks to allow proposed design to be socialised with Business and Dev teams alike.Recent assignments:Sep 18 - Aug 19: Assessment the impact of Brexit upon the Smart Investor trading platform. Feb 19 - Jan 20: Discretionary Portfolio Management (DPM) project with a Third Party partner incl. Regulatory Reporting.Feb 20 - Dec 20: I was involved in a series of small changes projects whose objective was to add new capability to the existing Smart Investor platform.Jan 21 - Feb 22: High profile, complex piece of work on a long-standing Transaction Reporting (TR) gap related to the reporting of Voluntary Corporate Action events. I was instrumental in developing the solution and provided significant support through the E2E Test cycle. The fix was implemented in September 21 with a historic repair thereafter. During this period I also worked on other changes.Feb 22 - Present Date: I have been involved in a variety of moderately complex changes to existing platforms - Process flows, User Stories, etc.
