I have been with British Transport Police for 14 years and have recently moved into the role of managing the Emergency Planning, Resilience & Response Team. I manage a team of 12 Emergency Planning professionals across the UK as part of BTP’s Force Preparedness Team. I am the functional lead for Emergency Planning, Local Resilience Forum engagement, external Risk Assessment and Business Continuity across the force. I am also a National Interagency Liaison Officer (NILO) and jointly work with multi-agency partners on a regular basis on all aspects of Emergency Planning. In previous roles I worked as an Emergency Planning Manager for the Wales and Western areas of BTP, again working in the civil contingencies field. I also have have extensive operational planning experience having coordinated BTP operations for all major events in the Wales and South West England areas including, but not limited to, the 2017 Champions League Final in Cardiff, the NATO Summit, the 2015 Rugby World Cup and Glastonbury Festival.
