Energetic founder of innovative companies, generally as a first-mover, particularly in the energy industry including offshore wind, electrification of the road logistics and maritime industries and progression of clean-energy powered industry. Now spending more time on documentary making, focusing on the natural environment and using it to power our world and to create change through the power of film. Through our production company, Syk Flyk, we created and hosted an award-winning, feature-length documentary film entitled Planet Wind about the planetary force that is wind and how it may be harnessed for the benefit of humankind through offshore wind energy. Released early 2025 with our next film, Planet Sun, being filmed for release in late 2025.From 2012-2024, the majority of my time was spent trying to introduce offshore wind energy into Australia and New Zealand. This was done as a co-founder, investor and former CEO of the Star of the South (now managed by our partner, CIP) and through Oceanex Energy with the Novocastrian Offshore Wind Farm (with our partner, Equinor), both successful in recent rounds of Offshore Wind Feasibility Licence applications in Gippsland and Hunter Coast respectively.Seeking to introduce further new future industries into Australia as co-founder and director of NewVolt, facilitating the transition to the use of electric trucks in Australia by establishing a network of low cost clean energy generation assets and co-located charging facilities and Meta Renewables, targeted renewables to power existing, and unlock new, industries. Very excited to accelerate the electrification of the shipping and maritime industries through Electrified Ocean Networks (EONs) through Oceon Energy.Gearing up to introduce renewable energy-focused festivals to the world, via EnergyFest, in 2025 to drive future generations of leaders in a way that encharges them to steer the planet to a prosperous future.
