In early 1977, The Yellow Pencil Company was formed with Iris Dunbar, driven by Andy’s desire to improve people’s lives through good design. An exciting period follows for YPC, working with the Battersea Arts Centre to The Body Shop, designing with Anita Roddick for many years, London Fashion Exhibition and an Emmy Nomination in 1982 for the Nicholas Nickleby TV credits with Colin Callender, The Creative Handbook with Richard Woolley and then Glasgow Cultural Capital Year Book in 1990 with Michael Russell, now Culture Secretary for Scotland, winning the much-coveted Donside Paper Awards.
