25+ years production management experiance.Nebosh QualificationTrained Work Study EngineerI started my working life in the work study dept of Airsprung Beds, working my way up to Senior Work Study Engineer.From there I progressed to Manager of the Bedding Dept where I was responsible for 200 people. This then progressed to a shift managers position within the company, where I was responsible for all production activities, in all Departments when the Works Manager was not on site.Having moved to The Furniture Factory I was responsible for the complete manufactoring process including chasing suppliers, dealing with customers, all personel matters and everything H & S related. I was responsible for setting up & training a third shift & ensuring all shifts worked together.I was also part of the Groups Management Team, where all Factory Managers met quarterly to plan the future strategy of the Business.I then moved to Dreamworks Beds where i ran the upholstery factory. I was responsible for achieving day to day production targets within strict budgets.Being laid off after 3 successful years I moved to Macfarlane Packaging as a Line Leader. This was a more hands on role where I proved I could work on the shop floor while still being able to achieve daily targets. I was also site H&S rep who was responsible for day to day H&S issues under guidance from the Manager who was based over 200 miles away at a Sister factoryI am currenly working in an engineering company producing rubber components. I am learning new skills on a daily basisI have just renewed my Forklift license to add to my skillsI am a very loyal person who thrieves on preasure who is comfortable liaseing between top management and the shop floor
