Regional- Based In St Helens, Merseyside

Having been approached to move into the Sports Publications industry with Colourplan Design & Print, this role saw me becoming responsible for the development of existing and new relationships within professional sport and in particular, matchday programmes and other marketing materials. I succesfully developed relationships with professional sports organisations including Wigan Athletic FC, Blackburn Rovers FC, Everton FC, Doncaster Rovers FC, Burnley FC, Hibernian FC, Crewe Alexandra FC, St Helens RLFC, Wigan Warriors RL, Bradford Bulls RL, Salford Reds RL, Sale Sharks RUFC and both Lancashire and Yorkshire Cricket Clubs. I was also responsible for successfully increasing the commercial portfolio, developing strategic relationships with Liverpool Airport and Peel Holdings, Liverpool Cruise Club, Jones Window Systems and various Local Authorities.

St Helens, Merseyside

Joining St Helens Rugby League Club at the outset of the Super League era, I was responsible for the commercial activities of the Club, including Main Club Sponsorship, Match Sponsorship, Advertising Sales and Corporate Hospitality sales. I was directly involved in the planning and delivery of countless major Cup Final and Grand Final appearances from a commercial viewpoint, including games at Wembley, Twickenham and Old Trafford and also in the development of (then) record Sponsorship deals with companies such as McEwans Lager, Caledonia Peugeot and St Helens Glass.

Starting work as an 18 year old school leaver, I covered all clerical duties in the St Helens Branch, including Cashier, Foreign, Lending and Customer Services. I eventually progressed to Customer Services Manager, including a lending role, as well as Life Insurance, Pensions and Investments.
