A business analyst by background, I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Finance degree, landed a position with Transamerica, found my passion is technology, and I've never looked back. Since the beginning, I've been steadily promoted to positions with broader scope and increased organizational impact. Currently, I'm called on to be the face of finance applications and reporting solutions for technology. Recently, I was the technical lead for a multi-year transformative project with a projected spend of $150M to modernize the company's financial processes and systems.Having a robust understanding of how data needs to flow in an organization, knowledge of the tools used to make that come to life, and experience building applications, I'm assigned large-scale, high-profile problems to dig into and solve. My strengths are setting/aligning to a strategy vision, getting a group organized, solving problems and delivering solutions.I'm very analytical and fact-based, with a deep understanding of how data, rather than assumptions, should drive decisions. Data tells a story—a story that's factual and informative. Without data reporting, analysis, and evaluation, informed decisions are not possible. However, my value goes well beyond the metrics. I'm a leader and a team guy. My primary focus is my team.
