Advising this state-of-the-art boutique theatre laboratory in the heart of San Francisco, founded by impresarios Marsha Crosby and Joegh Bullock in 1985.This tiny organization has been responsible for some surprisingly large cultural ripples - including Craigslist, which began as an interactive mailing list for the venue, and was the first Fiscal Sponsor for Burning Man.

Consulting and investing in the arts and environment, for clients including online music, cultural organizations, 360 VR entertainment, organic food, nonprofits, and real estate - about finances, strategy, communications, websites and social media. Provided leadership for an organization inspired since 1988 to preserve, protect and restore the world-renowned mountain environment of Mount Shasta. Uppgraded finance, operations, CRM and website/social media processes. Collaborated to fine-tune a vision for the future, create a comprehensive strategic plan, and implement new fundraising strategies (e.g. a Patreon campaign). Hired and supervised professional staff creating innovative community fire programs and other initiatives while continuing longstanding wildlife, water, community education and policy advocacy efforts.In a related effort, founded the Siskiyou Forward Movement political action committee which sponsored a groundwater initiative and twice defeated tax proposals to triple the size of the county's jail.

Purchased the rights to occupy a vacant berth at 49 Liberty Dock in Waldo Point Harbor. Invested in construction of an 80 ton concrete barge, building of a luxury floating home (by contractor-partner); lived there as a personal residence, and exited through acceptance of a full price offer.

South of Market live/work art gallery – this was the West Coast showcase for New Orleans neon sculpture artist Eric Ehlenberger, and also presented emerging San Francisco artists. Produced an eclectic series of art openings, technology and community-based special events, webcasts and performances.

Prepared the $48 million annual budget for thirty U.C.D. business enterprise and student services units, including the campus bookstore and student housing; coordinated program and cost effectiveness improvements. Reviewed departmental mission statements and developed financial projections.

Conducted management audits of state and local government programs for the Office of the Auditor General, examining their efficiency and effectiveness in response to concerns of members of the Legislature. As examples, co-authored an award-winning study of Cal/OSHA - primary research into policy options ultimately decided statewide by passage of Proposition 97 on the November 1988 ballot. Another report was the basis for comprehensive legislation restructuring state consultant contract approval processes.
