£9m extension to existing Sainsbury’s store in Kidderminster involving refurbishment of car park to new layout. Front, rear and sales floor extensions.

Working with ISG Pearce as a freelance site manager, primarily, focussing on external works, i.e. planing off and resurfacing of car parks on live Tesco stores, adding additional street lighting, repaving walkways and le lining to current design standards. Also I have been providing support and cover to the internals team and renewing my skills on the shop fitting side of the business. Working with Dartmouth General Contracts on the Tesco “new look” programme which involved being the night manager on site, overseeing the re-painting of live stores in the new colour scheme, replacing signage and general maintenance which varied from store to store, overall I carried out over seven of these jobs on a ten day intensive programme.

Carrying out multi million pound projects primarily on behalf of Tesco’s Stores where Bowmer & Kirkland acted as Principal Contractor.Ongoing liaison with senior management of Tesco Stores, sourcing and coordinating subcontractors and direct employees across all disciplines including mechanical, civil and electrical to achieve on target delivery of projects within budget.Projects include:£65m Mixed use development – Milton Keynes. Responsible for RC Frame and Curtain Walling of 4 – multi story apartment blocks £35m Distribution Centre in Goole. Managed the construction of a 1,000,000 sq ft distribution centre for Tesco, from earthworks to fit out.Erection of steel frame and shell works for £19m retail development in OldhamSimilar project in Chesterfield (£15m)Project 31 – multi live store mini refit programme, ranging from adding phone shops, direct desks and refreshing decorations throughout stores.Store conversion Barton on Humber – refitting an acquisition store responsible for everything from demolition to refitting as Tesco.£1m remedial works to ‘live’ store in Skegness: Coordination of injection lifting for entire sales floor to (1 in 700 fall)
