While working for Welty Building Company I was assigned to work in the field on a Transmission Control Center. On this project I stepped into a vacant project engineer position on a project half way through completion. Among my various responsibilities some of the highlights included handling RFIs and submittals, assisting with scheduling, assisting with field management and coordinating subcontractors, and working with the owner to ensure that the project met their expectations.

At the George J. Igel & Co., Inc., I worked as a project management intern. In this position my responsibilities were split evenly between the field and the office. In the field I handle ODOT reports, assisted in scheduling subcontractors, documenting work completed, and learning the many techniques in efficiently running heavy highway construction projects. My office responsibilities included creating purchase orders and change orders, approving invoices, creating and processing submittals, and project estimating.
