Contract management of EMS contract

I am responsible for implementing new (non Work - Programme) programmes, managing them in live running and driving the performance improvement of existing ones. I currently manage 2 Work Choice Contracts, along with CWP, NEA and a new ESF contract. My contracts are principally in the North West and the West Midlands at the moment. Also Work Choice Lead PM.

Working with just one colleague, we managed the entire delivery portfolio of several large Welfare to Work providers. This included managing New Deal, Progress to Work, Employment Zones and Programme Centres amongst other contracts. I started in June 2001 on the implementation of NDDP, a brand new DWP initiative for disabled peope and ran up to 14 contracts from Scotland to Brighton. This turned into one of the best - performing Govt. WtW programmes there has ever been and we were nominated for a National CIPS award.

Responsible for the training of all JCP Advisers and implementation of NDDP, a national programme. Devised and delivered training strategy for this programme, ensuring all JCP Advisers were upskilled prior to implementation.

Initiailly I was repsonsible for running the national training programme for Disability Employment Advisers - delivering three weeks of residential training per intake at Ranmoor Hall in Sheffield and training hundreds of DEAs. I only left this post on promotion to Training Manager.Undertook all aspects of training consultancy, design and delivery. In depth assessment and counselling of disabled people and helping place them in work. Visiting employers and changing attitudes towards the employment of disabled people. Acting as a consultant for Access to Work and retention cases.
