Currently, my role/responsibility at Space is “General Manager”, this is apt as like all technology firms the challenges are as varied as the solutions we provide. Managing the business growth from identifying potential via the initial contact through to the long term relationship built around client confidence. I enjoy pushing forward, from an empty Data Centre to a populated, green, sustainable and profitable project. Having 20 years’ experience in technology implementation I benefit form a superior technical understanding, clients benefit by my ability to portray complex technical solutions in a clear and easily understood manor. Ownership of a project lifecycle leads to correct specification of outcome. Information Security counts high among my strengths, as an experienced internal Auditor for ISO27001 and ISO9001, and having written countless policy and procedure documents compliant with the standards, I have completed certification audits for a number of businesses. The ability to gain certification aids massively once conveying solutions to clients, this deeper understanding of security risk, response and the information gained from the customer contact and development leads to confident design based upon a client’s needs and expectations.Account management is the real key to a successful plan for growth of any PaaS or SaaS offering or venture. I pride myself on the ability to gain and foster a trust relationship with clients as this makes any revenue growth targets easily achieved. Day to day operational management of the business takes up around half of my time with the remainder spent firmly in the field of play assisting business across the region realise the potential that technology brings.
