Great to have returned to the club in my second spell.. June 2014- December 2016. November 2017- Present.To identify players in academy and senior football throughout the South West of England and South Wales, who could then potentially gain contracts at Southampton Football Club. Experience of monitoring players and completing reports at EFL, National League and International youth level. Competent user of Scout7/ISF and PMA systems. As part of the Recruitment team: identify, review, report on and monitor targets, teams and players to support the Club recruitment strategy.Compile and collate reports using a bespoke match and player reporting process to support the talent identification process. Video reports are also completed on players attending trials and this information will be added to a dossier that will be compiled on the player.Create a network of club and scouting contacts to support the scouting process.Build strong relationships with the Scouts working across the club to support player monitoring, research and ongoing league, team and player analysis.Develop an understanding of the players already at the club, as well as an excellent knowledge of the teams playing styles at Academy and First Team level.

Lufton Campus, Yeovil And Bridgwater Campus

I initially returned to Bridgwater and Taunton College as an Associate Lecturer of Level 2 and 3 coaching Diplomas and Internal Quality Assurance of sport apprenticeships. The programme aimed to engage students in the competencies of being a sports coach, which were made up of both practical and theory based lessons for students looking to develop and learn the roles, skills and qualities of being a professional coach. This also provided a valuable platform whereby competent students were equipped to work within the wider sporting industry. My role evolved to cover lessons in Foundation studies for students requiring additional support and to use sport to reengage those back into further education.Another role included being lead internal verifier for apprentices studying qualifications for British Gymnastics, 1610 and various private health clubs throughout the United Kingdom.

This position ceased due to changes in the job specification set by The Football Association.The Internal Verifier Coordinator role is to carry out quality assurance within Level 1 and Level 2 Coach Education Courses as laid out by Somerset Football Association & 1st4Sport Qualifications. Main responsibilities include:• Checking the quality of assessment to ensure consistency.• Planning and implementing a program of systematic and regular sampling of assessment decisions throughout the year. • Monitoring and advising on assessment decisions, giving verbal and written feedback to assessors.• Providing regular support and guidance to tutors to ensure that the quality requirements of the FA and 1st4sport qualifications are met.• Monitoring that timely corrective action is taken where necessary.• Maintaining and ensuring that records of assessment and internal quality assurance are accessible, secure and confidential.• Regularly observing assessors to ensure quality of assessment.• Providing feedback to the head of centre on the quality of assessment, training and resource needs.

- Coach U15 and U16 age groups to develop players across the 4 corners in line with the Yeovil Town Academy Coaching Programme.- Promote the Yeovil Town Football Philosophy.- Develop players during all training sessions and matches.- Set high standards of professionalism and demonstrate a high standard of conduct, thus providing a good role model for young players. - Supervise and be responsible for a group of young players at all times during training and match days.

Bridgwater

Working for Prodec Education, my role as a Lecturer/Course Leader was to take a lead role in managing and teaching on Level 2 and 3 Diploma Football Coaching courses. Planning, delivery and reviewing to provide a quality learning experience for all learners using a wide range of teaching and assessment methods and develop the curriculum accordingly. Within my curriculum delivery role I was also responsible for the following key tasks.• Preparing Schemes of Work, Lesson and Assessment Plans, ensuring a variety of teaching methods are adopted.• Set and mark examinations/assignments, as appropriate.• Organise course team meetings, keeping managers and teams informed of learners’ progress and other Curriculum/College issues. Co-ordinate the activity of my teaching team, organising communications and team meetings, to ensure that all members participate in planning and development.• Ensure assessment and internal verification planning is effective and relevant.Another role included being a Teaching, Learning and Assessment Mentor to support newly qualified or appointed teaching staff and to support and develop the skills of existing staff who require assistance or have an identified development need with regard to their teaching, learning & assessment practice.
