- Responsible for overall management and trading implementation process in the absence of the Head Trader- Conduct research for Chief Investment Officer and Chief Portfolio Manager for use in discussions with existing and potential clients- Write monthly program performance updates for distribution to existing and potential clients- Provide daily market commentary and analysis for both internal and external use- Prepare illustrations, presentations, and informational literature for use in marketing materials- Provide trading desk coverage for U.S., European, and Asian market shifts and ensure that all trades are executed within the guidelines of the firm’s trading policy- Monitor risk controls on a real-time basis- Execute of the firm’s quantitative, model-based strategies via electronic platforms and upstairs brokers in international futures, foreign exchange, and equity markets- Analyze and recommend the proper timing for futures contract rolls across all markets traded- Supervise, train, and mentor Associate Traders- Developed a comprehensive trading room manual for assistance with training Associate Traders- Assisted in the integration of a proprietary order management system with electronic trading platforms, effectively eliminating trade entry errors
