ABOUT ME:I am a hard-working and career-driven employee who takes pride in the quality of his work. Performance in the workplace is of paramount importance to me. I've never been afraid to go the extra mile to get the job done and enjoy the feeling of success thereafter. I am a self-motivated individual who takes pride in the quality of his work and who will do what it takes to succeed.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:I'm a firm believer in the value of education at all stages of life. I left Ireland for the United States after secondary school to attend college in Durango, Colorado. While achieving my undergraduate degree in English I made the Honor List on two occasions and graduated with honors. After returning from American I completed my CELTA which enabled me to enter an entry level teaching position abroad. My first Chinese teaching position was with a language school called York in Fuzhou, Fujian. I then moved to Shanghai where I taught at Shanghai High School International Division. I spent three years at SHSID and was given more responsibilities each year. While there I undertook my PGCE with the University of Sunderland. During the 2019-2020 academic year I completed my MPhil in Comparative Literature with Trinity College Dublin. I spent two years teaching middle and high school English and History in Abu Dhabi with an American international school named Summit. I also attained a license to teach secondary English in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts during my time here. Currently I am teaching middle school Humanities and P.E. in the International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL).
