CurrentExpertise Andy leads the Savills Forestry Management Department in Scotland. He is based in our Perth office and has 32 years experience in woodland management. He has experience of upland commercial woodland and native woodland creation schemes. He undertakes woodland management on mixed lowland estates including the planning and supervision of plantation establishment, restocking, restructuring and wildlife management programmes along with the planning and supervision of timber harvesting operations, production forecasting and co operative timber marketing. He has wide experience in accessing forestry grant aided schemes in Scotland and England. His work includes budgeting, financial appraisal and reporting to clients. He also has experience in forest valuations, strategic woodland reviews, compensation claims, legal work and forest certification. In addition he has undertaken large-scale urban and rural tree survey work, including the preparation of phased and costed implementation programmes. He is a Professional Member of the Institute of Chartered Foresters, Associate Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Registered Valuer.
