Andy is the author of the Johnson and Wilde series of crime mystery novels which are set on Britain's network of canals and rivers. The first in the series is called Canal Pushers and was published in hard back and e-book by Orphans Press in May 2019. It is set on the Stratford and the Birmingham & Worcester Canals and was inspired by the speculation about a real-life serial killer stalking the towpaths of Manchester. The second, River Rats, was published as a hardback and e-book in April 2020 followed by a paperback version of Canal Pushers. It is set in Bath on the River Avon and features a small boating community which is being threatened by violent and unscrupulous property developers. The series of books (Johnson and Wilde) is named after the main character, journalist Jack Johnson and a young army widow Nina Wilde who he meets on the towpath. The third book in the series, in which the action moves to the River Isis at Oxford, was published in July 2021. It is called Oxford Blues and is set against the background of County Lines criminal activity in the city. The fourth book in the series is a novella called Devil’s Den. It includes elements of the supernatural and is set on the Staffs & Worcs Canal near Kinver.Andy is a member of the Society of Authors and the Crime Writers’ Association. Andy has also advised broadcasters around the globe on change projects as a consultant and was previously a Partner with Marquis Media Partners. During 2015 he worked in Dublin, Doha and Kuala Lumpur and last year he was part of the Marquis team which successfully completed a 6 month project in Dubai with the major broadcaster MBC. The project assessed the technology and operating procedures at MBC, the leading free-to-air television, radio and online broadcaster for the Middle East region. During 2014 he also advised NHK, Japan's leading state broadcaster and CCTV, China's state broadcaster on new broadcasting centre projects for Tokyo and London. Andy was previously a full member of the Association of Project Management.Andy's skills include all aspects of senior leadership and management including strategic direction, editorial decision making, financial control, union negotiations, public speaking and internal/external communications.Project management skills include governance, benefits mapping, stakeholder management, budgeting, risk management and leading a team.
