Faster and safer radiation detection and imaging in 3D. Our technology makes any application of radiation detection and monitoring more efficient and less error prone, especially for nuclear power plant operations and emergency response.

Making medical imaging more accessible using near-IR lasers, ultrasound and holography. I developed novel acousto-optic image reconstruction algorithms from scratch. This involved solving inverse differential equations using finite element analysis.

Principal Investigator leading multiple projects building software and hardware systems for real-time 3D gamma-ray imaging in compact systems. Responsible for funder acquisition/relationships, project management and planning, setting long term technical direction/execution and science/engineering team management. These systems perform data fusion of gamma-ray and LiDAR or visual data onboard Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) and from handheld systems. They have been demonstrated dozens of times around the world including in Fukushima Prefecture, Japan.

Developing and demonstrating the combination of computer vision 3D reconstruction with gamma-ray imaging and mapping using ROS and Python. I was especially focused on optimizing gamma-ray image reconstruction algorithms for real-time computation and ensuring that the algorithms were robust across imaging scenarios and different detector types.
