Seeking out opportunities for artists. Networking with promoters. Advising on touring possibilities. Leveraging / Maintaining Europe wide data. Eyeballing entire range of venues, from National Festivals to boutique shop-front internet radio stations. Tour routing. Handling contracts / riders / invoicing. Negotiating opportunities with big corporations as well as DIY operations.

- Actively developed a strong working knowledge of multiple studios in the department.Consoles included SSL AWS, Toft, Audient ASP, using RedNet ethernet technology (entire studio complex is networked), also totally adept troubleshooting the following products: Apple computers and software, Pro Tools, Logic, Ableton, Cubase, Kontakt etc...- Fulfilled a critical role during relocation of old T Block site to the new Worthing University campus. This meant I dismantled old setups, oversaw transportation of equipment to new site. Much of my work was done in conjunction with The Studio People who designed and implemented the refurbishment of the new studio complex.- Received a personally written letter of thanks from the vice - principe Karimah Butcher, for my services to the college. She said she "personally knew many who had benefited from my patience and professional approach".

- I completed a Health and Safety at work full qualification

- As part of a small team, two years in a row, I worked to organise three days of bands at The Great Escape Festival. This event included 30 bands, 10 per day. Bands included Zun Zun Egui, USA Nails, Mile Me Deaf, Vök, CUT, Moxham & Halliday, The Fiction Aisle, BABE, Tuff Love, The Jane Fonda Work Out VHS and many others.- A+R (finding bands, networking, knowing the music scene, using own contacts etc)- Negotiating demands based on size of bands, dealing with managers, tour managers etc.- Negotiating with The Great Escape.- Curation- Promoting concerts nationally- Setting up ticketing- Digital Marketing

- Through my experience in the band I had to learn how to use social networking effectively (Facebook, Twitter, Email Marketing Skills, Instagram etc).- We released our own recordings, online and physically. We learnt about art working the releases for online release through a worldwide digital distribution network which got our stuff everywhere, iTunes, Spotify, Deezer etc.- We organised our own vinyl recording and manufacture for selling on merch tables when on tour.- We signed a management deal with a small London based management company which funded our merch, the purchase of a tour van, creating physical products such as records and CDs as well as assisting us with dealing with contracts etc. The management found us great contacts in radio, as well as tour dates.- We signed with a small Brighton label to release an album which went into HMV, national distribution and much exposure across blogs and radio. - Made many enduring contacts throughout the music industry locally, nationally and internationally.- Organised three complete 'break - even' European tours. These were between 10 days up to six weeks long.- We joined PRS, had great relationships with many 'gatekeepers'- We made all our own music videos.

- Manager of the main study resource suite for an FE / HE Music department. - I looked after the facility, resources and computer suite of 20+ PC and Mac computers. - I kept subscriptions to Music Week, Record of The Day, the CMU newsletter, Tape Op, Future Music, etc... and kept up with the movements of the music industry avidly.- I got to know the entire corporate structure of the college. Networked my way into my next role and challenge as a Music Technician.

- I studied for and achieved a level 4 PTTLS (now changed to CIEH Level 3 Award in Education and Training (EAT) qualification.- This enables me to teach in Further and Higher education in a lecturer's role.

- I sent an email to Raygun about one of their artists playing a show with my band, and the MD invited me for coffee, and offered me an intern position.- Fantastic opportunity to have been able to have MD as an industry mentor.- Worked as stage manager at Great Escape - Made contacts in America for company visit to CMJ and SXSW. - Sourced cheaper sources for video production related work.- Wrote press releases for various campaigns.- General A+R tasks. Fielding demos submissions, discussing submissions which were dear to the company, as well as artist's output.- Learned about how the different areas of the industry functioned.- Received an extremely positive reference.

- Visited Vilnius, Lithuania and worked in INTRO, a student union type venue as a promoter.- Set up several successful events for students. I invited students from all courses, of all the colleges and different universities in the city, something which hadn't been done before.- Whilst I was there, Lithuania joined the EU; I saw the celebration first hand. It was incredible, the entire country seemed to gather in Vilnius city centre, all the buses into and out of the city were totally filled to capacity bringing people in for the party.- I organised a three day new media arts festival in conjunction with INTRO which took me until 2 years after I finished university to realise. Chris Clarke, Janek Scheffer, Animals on Wheels among others come to host a series of events, performances and lectures to encourage connections with other international cultural scenes.
