I am an Analytical Chemist specialising in pharmaceutical analysis. I have extensive experience in all phases of pharmaceutical development across both drug substance and drug product. My background is in vibrational spectroscopy (Raman, Infrared and Near-Infrared) but I am experienced in all the major analytical techniques used within the pharmaceutical industry.My current role as an Analytical Project Expert involves leading the analytical aspects of new drug products in the late stages of development prior to commercialisation. I am delivery focussed, but take a strategic view to delivering an appropriate control strategy and suite of methods suitable for use within a QC environment. My role involves authoring parts of regulatory submissions, overseeing method development, validation and technology transfer, defining stability strategy and ensuring both products and processes are well characterised. I have excellent communication skills and have a strong track record of collaborating across skill sets internally and with external partners.My most recent projects have been novel parenteral peptide products, though I am always open to an interesting analytical challenge regardless of the modality or formulation. My experience with peptides has led to me becoming involved in both internal and industry initiatives to develop guidance for future peptide drug products.I recently became a committee member of the Joint Pharmaceutical Analysis Group (JPAG) and am looking forward to helping organise some of their future symposia.
