Senior case Investigator, main duties include the handling of a large caseload from initial referral to ensuring that the case is ‘hearing ready’. My duties include risk assessment, investigation planning, evidence gathering, identification of evidential leads, interviewing, completion of final report, disclosure of evidential material and ensuring cases are investigated proportionately.

In my current role within the Technical Support Unit (TSU) I am expected to handle intelligence on a regular basis, all of which is of a secret nature from Units tackling the most serious of offenders. My day to day role involves using the most up to date surveillance techniques and covert audio, visual, RF and GPS technical devices. I have been involved in many operations using these techniques to gather intelligence or evidence, resulting in successful convictions at court. I have also been required on numerous occasions to act as the team leader and did so for six months in a Unit which dealt solely with the covert requirements for undercover officers. During this time, I streamlined operations by introducing new and effective working practices.I am trained in numerous covert surveillance techniques with qualifications from the NPIA.My role also allows me to display excellent communication skills when dealing with fellow officers. I am required on a regular basis to hold strategy meetings, conduct briefings for armed and non-armed Units and present feedback to management with regards to the usefulness of covert equipment and tactics used.
