Warehouse Supervisor
Current• My duties are in procurement, international payments and warehouse management. • This position requires me to forge good relations and liaise closely with suppliers and colleagues to director level. • Responsibilities include managing staff, allocating tasks, prioritising workload and planning production of orders. • An essential part of the role is to ensure that optimum levels of stock are maintained to ensure maximum profitability to the company. • I have implemented systems to ensure that orders that exceed monthly usage are processed and meet demand. • The role requires long-term planning, up to one year ahead, to ensure production equals demand and factoring in product lifespan and seasonal factors (for example, ensuring non-freeze products are purchased prior to the Winter period). • A further example of an initiative I have led on is working closely with IT to create a Dashboard system to help manage stock to maximum efficiency. • An example of my commitment to acquiring optimum benefit to the company, I researched foreign exchange brokers which led to a saving to the company of £3,000 during 2013. • In addition, my eye for details has frequently identified invoice duplication, particularly freight charges, which was common prior to my arrival.
