Teaching individual and group guitar and bass lessons, from beginners up to grade 8 standard, in a range of styles - classical, rock, jazz, acoustic, blues, folk etc. Each year, college students are encouraged to take graded exams. In 2013 and 2014 I achieved 100% pass-rate.I currently teach privately in Cambridgeshire.

Supporting the delivery of Music & Music Technology A-level at the College. Main duties include:- Managing and maintaining the department's Mac network infrastructure and day-to-day tasks including: • Automated backups • Software & system updates • Managing profiles • Creating and deploying custom images • Creating custom shell scripts • Client support • Undertaking hardware upgrades (RAM, HDD -> SSD conversions, Hot data cache etc.) (61 iMacs running OS X 10.11, MacPro Server running Server 5.1 and Apple Remote Desktop 3.9.)- Managing all internal and external concerts and international music tours, including van hire, stage management, lighting, live sound engineering, live recordings and all technical support- Managing installation and maintenance of two purpose-built recording studios running Logic Pro X with Audient interface and preamps- Repair & maintenance of departmental instruments and equipment, including but not limited to: • Electric guitars • Electric bass guitars • Acoustic guitars • Amplifiers (guitar, bass, keyboard etc.) • Active & Passive PA Speakers • Keyboards • All cables • Microphones • Microphone stands- Responsible for on-going PAT certificates of all equipment throughout the Music department- Providing AV technical support for wider College and student-led events

Joint teaching on the BTEC Music Performance course.- Planning and delivering lessons- Running workshops- Teaching music performance- Marking performances and student work- 1:1 mentoring and student supportModules include Session Styles, Community Music and Final Major Project.Session Styles - students undertake research into the musical nuances and history of key genres of music through workshops and self-study, leading to an assessed performance every two weeks in each style. Students cover a range of styles during the module such as Motown, Country, Funk, 80s Rock etc. and produce practice logs for each rehearsal.Community Music - students research into community music, leading to planning, organising and running their own community project. Final Major Performance - students independently plan, organise, run and perform in a large-scale event. They are involved in musical direction, publicity, events management, directing rehearsals and the overall production.
