Commercial Real Estate - BRM-Commercial real estate lending to large institutional borrowers as well as smaller scale real estate professionals and investors ranging in size from $2.0mn to $1.5bn. Experience with lending techniques on various asset classes including office, hospitality, retail, industrial, multifamily, self storage, among others.-Assist in the underwriting/structuring/modeling process for loans to be securitized and held on the balance sheet by analyzing cash flow trends, financial information, market data, commercial real estate trends, tenant quality, leases, as well as conducting detailed downside scenarios and breakeven analyses.-Review the collateral for each deal by conducting in depth research on the asset’s current trends and history, in-place leases, operating budgets, borrower history, profitability, market fundamentals, and financial statements to determine quality, ensuring the property will perform as planned.-Implement various structural enhances on loans including earn outs, holdbacks, reserves, cash flow sweeps, debt yield and debt service hurdles to ensure the bank is protected in downside events and has funds at hand to cover any unexpected expenses.-Visit/inspect various assets across the USA to review the potential lending opportunity and asses the collateral to ensure it meets the bank standard.-Extensive market research from various publications and internal DB sources to understand real estate trends in certain areas across the USA to assess the commercial real estate market risks and specific asset risks.-Authority to singlehandedly review and approve loans with a commitment up to $35.0mn.
