After working for 20 years in the print industry in both printing and management roles, I returned to part-time education and studied towards a modern languages degree with the intention of finding a role in education.I worked for MacIntyre in their lifelong learning department before completing my PGCE and becoming a Programme Coordinator and then Programme Manager of the Milton Keynes post 16 education provision.After 14 successful years working at MacIntyre, I moved to my current role of Additional Learning Needs Coordinator for JTL Training, providing support for electrical and plumbing apprentices who may struggle with some aspects of their course.My primary focus during my time in education has been to break down barriers to learning and to ensure that everybody has the opportunity to achieve and reach their full potential. I have always enjoyed working with others to provide these opportunities and I hope to continue doing so, wherever I may be working.
