Developed the Dubuque Works Cab Factory Layout - Created a Cab factory layout to optimally locate 5 cab assembly lines and 1 material storage area. To determine the best layout I compared alternatives using Qualitative and Quantitative measures. Using linear programming optimization I compared alternative layouts options to identify the solution that minimized material handling while improving safety and 5S. - Lead a team of 2 engineers to complete the detailed station level line layouts for 5 cab lines. The new layouts reduced assembly line labor by 5-20% per line. - The detailed 3D layout enabled communication of clear and concise requirements to facilities engineers and contactors. Relocated Cab Assembly to Dubuque Works -I was the manufacturing engineer responsible for relocating cab assembly to Dubuque Works. To relocate the cab lines I procured new equipment and modified existing equipment. I worked with facilities engineers and contractors to install utilities and supporting structures at the new factory. -5 cab lines were relocated over a 10 month period. Each cab line moved on schedule achieving its start of production date. -I received a C&F Division Collaboration Award for my role in this project.Manufacturing Engineer Cab Assembly -Responsible for improving Safety, Quality, and Efficiency of Forestry Cab Assembly-Created manufacturing plans for New Product Programs in Crawler Cab and Forestry Cab Assembly. -Responsible for analyzing manufacturability of product designs and collaborating on solutions. -Created a Cab Line Balancing Simulation tool in PowerBI. This tool enabled manufacturing engineers to balance the assembly line using actual unit labor requirements.
