After working for about 10 years in the printing industry, I was given an opportunity with Industries for the Blind. We are a non-profit agency with our mission to create employment for blind and visually impaired Americans. As the Director of National Accounts for the IB Custom division, I work with marketing and recruiting commands for most of our military branches. My team manages projects from product development through delivery of finished product. We also administer warehouse and distribution programs through proprietary custom websites. I work directly with the contracting groups of different federal government programs to identify long term solutions for their marketing and advertising teams. By identifying these needs, we find ways to partner with our customers to benefit their end user, while supporting our mission of creating and sustaining employment for our blind and visually impaired employees. Through the AbilityOne program, we add these solutions to the procurement list through supply and service contracts.
