Whilst I have years of knowledge working in & with the motor trade, most of that has been whilst at Safestyle where I started in 2000, meaning I also have a good understanding of the business as a whole. Having been made redundant from my previous role at a Bodyshop I took a job as an internal courier to get my foot in the door, I was quickly moved on to other departments learning as I went. When an opportunity arose to pair what I had learned both at Safestyle & in the motor trade I grasped it with both hands. I like to think I have an eye & sometimes just as importantly an ear for detail. Comes in handy when presented a vehicle with.... a funny noise. I have an interest in general engineering & like to get to the bottom of things. With a good mechanical understanding of how things work I've driven/ridden: Cars, Bike's, Boats, Trucks, Trains, Hovercrafts & a small go in a plane. If it has an Engine, Motor or even just wheels I'm interested! As the world moves from reliance on fossil fuels to a more sustainable future keeping on top of changing tech is key. Be that Hydrogen Fuel Cells, Full Electric or whatever is next round the corner. Let’s hope we can keep up!
