At MCG, I am part of a team committed to excellence, continuous improvement, and driving sustainable business results. As an Account Manager, we are the face of MCG. We work closely with current customers and support Key Account Managers in locking in new business. We ensure day to day customer service and ensure account management activities are met including processing quotes, orders, RMA’s, Sales requests, status updates, etc. to meet our customers deadlines. Below is an idea of what we strive to do to the best our capabilities daily. • Evaluation and estimating of customer data, conceptual part drawings, material specs, material yield, tolerances, quality specs, documentation, etc. • Support customers with quoting, material specification, fact finding, and general questions as needed. • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints. • Assist with the proper evaluation and approval of design changes, specifications, and drawing releases • Generate and manage new projects, coordination of those projects with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, QA, and follow through completion of project. • Provide pre-sales technical assistance, product education, and after-sales support. • Collaborate with key account managers on strategic sales and product development activities for new and existing customers. • Achieve sales, product, and margin goals acceptable to management expectations. • Continually upgrade sales skills and product knowledge through experience and educational programs. • Continuously learn and improve procedures, processes, and methods required to achieve organization standards. • Timely submittals of required paperwork – monthly reports, open order status, quote status, and follow-up. • Maintain accurate customer, sales order, and quote information in ERP and CRM systems and customer portals.

After separating from Northfield, Covid overtook the job landscape and the job search truly changed. I have been taking courses on Indeed and LinkedIn to stay relevant and show my eagerness to continue learning and pursue growth within a new company.

I learned and grew a lot with this company and my boss of around 10 years, Doug Young. I worked my way up from customer service in getting samples ready, to customer service representative at the corporate office in Mundelein, IL, to Customer Service Manager. The best part of this job was not the job itself, it was the relationships built with customers and coworkers that have made a large impact in my life. It's always about people.
