Part of Airbus A350 fuselage material review board. Airbus T100 and T300 signature authority.Analyzed repairs using Airbus stress tool, ISAMI; modules used: filled hole, open hole, curved stiffened panel sizing, frame for ISAMI, plate analysis, metallic filled hole, panel buckling, EP tool, damage tolerance analysis for composite panels. Generated stress analysis notes to be used as a substantiation record for repairs.Developed detailed repairs including: metallic bushings in composite and metallic structures, resin based wet layup repairs for composite structures, and modification/design of special parts to ensure acceptable repair/assembly of Airbus A350 structures. Instructed and advised quality inspectors on engineering allowances, procedures and regulations. Used CATIA V5 to design repair parts and to properly locate damage on aircraft structure. Coordinated with quality assurance, manufacturing, and Airbus to ensure feasibility, acceptability, and timeliness of repair solution.

Analyzed and checked structural engineering data to ensure it met the structural requirements for FAA certification for aircraft interior modifications and components. Generated stress analysis notes to be used as a substantiation record of the repair or modification. Created and developed structural engineering substantiation reports used to certify repair and modification data. Worked with FAA ODA Unit Members to ensure that project certification requirements were met. Served as a focal point for HAECO engineers, customers & technical personnel regarding structural substantiation issues. Provided structural substantiation support to HAECO production during the manufacturing and installation phases of HAECO developed designs.

Researched and reviewed engineering data defining aircraft structure and systems in support of design work. Developed and produced design data required for the manufacture, assembly, and installation of aircraft interior modifications and components. Developed preliminary engineering analysis necessary to substantiate aircraft interior modifications. Worked with substantiation group and ODA representatives to ensure designs would meet FAA regulatory criteria. Worked with other HAECO departments to ensure all HAECO and customer design requirements were met. Provided technical support to HAECO Production during the manufacturing and installation phases of HAECO developed designs.

Evaluated damage to transport category aircraft and researched engineering data to define aircraft primary and secondary structure to determine the most efficient method of repair. Designed repair data for aircraft defects that were beyond the scope of FAA approved data. Submitted repair data to OEM and / or customer engineering departments to ensure that the data was acceptable and to obtain repair approval.
