Senior Digital Architect
CurrentA role in the Enterprise Architecture function, in the Domain Architecture team. The role was focused on the Digital and Customer Engagement domain, primarily focusing on the public websites, secure portals, mobile apps, and client servicing capabilities. To provide more specific scope, the role touched on everything ranging from Martech and analytics tooling and integrations, to CMS, DAM and frontend frameworks, through to the APIs, cloud services and infrastructure that powered them. Or, in short, from what the customer engaged with through to the point of reaching data stores or a SaaS provider. As a member of the Architecture Review Board, my role also included significant amount of governance - reviewing solutions from across the organisation on a weekly basis to ensure alignment to digital and customer engagement target state. This also provided me with valuable knowledge as to what is happening across the business, and how existing capabilities needed to be adapted over time.A key achievement in this role was defining, pitching, and delivering a new enterprise mobile app platform strategy. This required approval from CTO and numerous senior proposition leads. Following approval, the platform accelerated the business from a legacy framework running on non-scalable and outdated delivery models, towards React Native and a highly scalable, agile platform acting as a catalyst for global reuse. The AWS-powered backend also introduced GraphQL to a major customer-facing business channel for the first time, with significant expansion of this capability being highly sought after. On the web side, we progressed with a module federation micro-frontend strategy, bringing our app and web experiences closer than ever before - delivering an experience akin to a “Superapp”, but without the proprietary tech or compromises.I also investigated using Generative AI SaaS solutions to improve the client servicing experience for customers and clients.
