Set up my own Chartered Accountancy practice. Maven is a Registered Auditor with the ICAEW as well as holding a DPB Licence. Maven provides audit, accounts and taxation advice (corporate and personal) to SMEs.

Non- Executive Board Member of the First Wessex Board. Responsible for strategic and operational direction of the organisation. Also sit on the Audit & Risk Committee which involves liaison with the Internal & External Auditor as well as implementation of risk framework and over-sight of the system of control therein.

Heading up a team which is looking at the financial, operational and risk aspects of the Grounds Maintenance Service Offering

Currently sit on the Atlantic LMB which involves reviewing strategy & Policy & reporting directly to Executive Team.

Driving patients and relatives to and from the Countess Mountbatten Hospice for visiting,appointments and to attend Hospice services such as Day Care.

Managing a portfolio of clients ranging from small sole traders to large groups spanning a range of industries and sectors. The role involves producing Sole Trader, Partnership & Company Statutory Accounts utilising "Iris" software as well as planning & under-taking audits, proactively managing lock-up on the portfolio through pro-active assistance to the credit control function. Assumed responsibility for external marketing initiatives including the social media presence of the practice. On an ad-hoc basis, producing forecasts utilising Sage WinForecast software as well as producing corporation tax computations and completion of personal self assessment tax returns coupled with completion of SAR audits.

- Currently managing a portfolio of various clients generating £750,000 of fee income. Clients range from small sole traders with circa £90k Turnover to the Audit of Groups with consolidated turnover of circa £25m. Portfolio spans a range of industries and sectors but is predominantly in the Motor, Construction & Service sectors. - The delivery of a quality, comprehensive service to my client portfolio involves managing a team of 10 individuals, with direct line manager responsibility for 4 individuals. The responsibility for the latter grouping entails conducting six monthly appraisals.- Managerial role on SAR Audits- Producing Forecasts for my client portfolio utilising Sage WinForecast Software- Producing Corporation Tax Computations and completion of Personal Self Assessment Tax Returns for my portfolio utilising CCH Taxpoint, Sage Corporation Tax & AlphaTax software packages, as well as reviewing the work of my team on these matters- Producing Sole Trader, Partnership & Company Statutory Accounts for my portfolio of clients utilising MYOB Viztopia & SAPA Computer software packages, as well as conducting managerial reviews on accounts produced by my team. I am also competent in the use of Sage.- Planning Audits and under-taking managerial reviews of Audit fieldwork conducted by my team. Competent in the usage of ProAudit & +Vantage Software Packages.- Assisting Credit Control Function- Managing Lock Down Days on my portfolio- Involved in External Marketing Initiatives with managerial level input

Under-took the role of a Junior, gaining valuable grounding in the production of sole trader, partnership and small company accounts from manual records, as well as the audit of Small/ Medium Sized Companies & Groups. Used Viztopia Accounts Package & Sage Corporation Tax software packages.

My responsibilities included the External Audit of Plcs, Controls testing at the interim stage of an audit & communication with senior client management to ensure correct understanding of control procedures.
