In my 20s, I started as Process Engineer in a MNC manufacturing company in my hometown, right after my graduation. While I did learnt a lot during my employment years, something came up in my mind, a question of "Is this what I want for the rest of my life?" keep bothering me. And I remembered my superior told me, your boss will be your future when stay in the same company. Then this has opened my mind further, I will be old by then in climbing the corporate ladder in my next 10 to 20 years. There is also uncertainties if I'm not the one promoted.With all these thoughts buzzling me, I started to think, what should I do if I want to change. And at that time, a friend came up to me, shared me about financial planning career, and how he has succeeded in this career within 3 years. I was amazed by his story, and "thinking if I can give it a try?". The one thing that hold me back was the income as I might need to give up my current salary if want to become a full time advisor. I really worry as I already had some monthly commitment. After a thorough consideration, I decided to join in as a part time advisor. This is how I started my career as a wealth advisor.As a part time advisor, it was a tough and challenging moment especially in my time management. Apart from engineering work, I need to set aside my time for training and meeting up people after working hours and weekend. Deep down in my heart, I'm struggled, but I believe in myself so much so I will succeed, just a matter of time. After 11 months as a part time advisor, I decided to burn my bridge!! I've made a very daring decision back then with ONLY earning commission of RM 300/month!! When others may get shocked with my decision, I was shocked by myself too. However, I pursue on to who I am today.I've been through the career over 16 years which has changed my life tremendously. I have more time now with my family and kids. I enjoyed my incentive trips, which has brought me around the world to London, Budapest, Croatia, Portugal, Italy, Turkey, Sydney, Austria & France. This wonderful career further nurtured me as one of the world top advisors in financial industry!!!
