Involved in an exciting new development in Plymouth. New house with the potential for 5 people to be supported with their individual personal, social, domestic and development needs. Currently one permanent service user, one temporary who is in transition due to breaking his leg so here and then hopefully back to a more suitable self-contained ground floor flat.... and one person who is the transition phase from domestic home (home from home now) to supported living.... I have been doing the job for a couple of months with the aim of weekends and a day or night during the week.... so the rest of the week is free.Bit of a change from assembling bikes and selling associated life style packages at Halfords.I'm also still doing the anti-doping thing but that has always been voluntary with the aim at providing the tool box for parents/support staff, coaches and athletes so they can make an informed decision. Thus no excuses really.

Currently studying for a Master's Degree in Professional Studies (generic title). Subject area is Sports development and should support my original PhD submission towards "Sport as a vehicle for personal and social development: A comparative study of Jamaican and British Fencing."Research for MA is 3 x 15000 word projects. My first project on inclusion is title Ideological or Instrumental: The developing discourse of inclusion as it relates to the sports community.the other 2 are on Governance and then Strategic Management/Development.Study is centred around sport in general but has a specific reference to elite sports particularly fencing.

Helping people make an informed leisure choice around cycling from children's and those new to or re-engaging with cycling to the more experienced and seasoned cyclist. Bike and accessory sales at present... shoertly developing previous skills of minor repairs to bike assembly and quality control checks. Previous experience of competitive cycling and triathlons means a more vocational job.

Very varied work. Initially responsible for Basic skills support in the engineering department, then supporting Libyan oil workers on their professional courses. General pastoral support. Admin including registers, schemes of work, lesson plans including individual support plans, setting work and marking, assessing work for portfolios, preparation for final exams and liaising with personal/course tutors and Basic/Key skills co-ordinators/managers. This work developed to be cross curricula including sports, business studies, performing arts, catering, health and beauty, construction and Health & Social Care. The support ranged from Basic Skills level 1 & 2 literacy and numeracy through to level 3 english and maths Key Skills for advanced NVQ's/BTEC.The work was on a temporary basis and renewed on a needs basis. My second assignment was as a Sociology lecturer looking after 2 cohorts. the first was a straight A level group aiming for University entrance the second Health & Social Care students with options in Sociology. The work provided an Introduction then foundation in Sociology the processes, key structures and research methods. Usual admin responsibilities plus any additional support due to previous work role..
