Evaluate new and existing materials to use in the development of new products and enhancement of existing products. This includes commercializing products that meet production needs in order to drive revenue growth and product portfolio.• Plan laboratory experiments to confirm feasibility of processes and techniques used in the production of materials having special characteristics. • Conduct research on rubber compounds and raw materials to obtain information that could be used to develop new products or enhance existing ones. • Conduct statistical analysis to make recommendations for material replacement, viable sourcing alternatives, or product specification limits for certificate of analysis.• Report results of statistical analyses for projects such as localizing raw materials, replacing discontinued or REACH materials.• Process large amounts of data for statistical modeling and graphic analysis to investigate customer and production concerns, along with building database.• Maintain specification records, process standards, and files of existing products.• Supports production procedures as a technical resource that includes Lean manufacturing practices and many other problem-solving techniques.• Serve in the additional capacity of Engineering Change Request and Notification Local Site Coordinator.

Tested experimental compounds for rheology, tensile strength, and other specialized testing. This included validating test equipment, coding complex Excel macros in order to organize data, and mixing compounds for experiments.• Tested and analyzed samples to determine their characteristics, using laboratory apparatus or testing equipment. • Compiled and recorded testing and operational data for review and further analysis. • Preformed value stream mapping exercises to improve information and material flow for quicker and more efficient lab order completion.
