I am privileged to lead Arup's Environmental and Sustainability team for Scotland and the Northeast of England, responsible for a team of brilliant specialists (and really great people!) that delivers work ranging from distributed energy to geomorphology assessments, from water management strategies to environmental planning and impact assessments and from regeneration led master plans and zero-carbon development to building climate change resilience and total carbon footprinting. I'm a mechanical building services engineer by background, with particular experience, skills and interests in the UN SDGs, cross-disciplinary design for sustainable outcomes in masterplans, climate change, and integrated energy systems in cities.Out of work I like to spend time with my family on adventures and keeping fit, ideally in the hills somewhere.
