I am a Digital Content Officer for the RYA which encompasses the British Sailing Team.In this role I design digital assets and content for all departments at the RYA, such as posters and logos for both print and online use, as well as designing GIFs and occasionally assisting in filming and editing video content, I design and send all of the email marketing and newsletters, with a span of 5 million+ emails sent per year and I also perform web support for the 200,000+ users of the RYA website as well as internal staff as a Microsoft Sharepoint administrator. I was part of the press office team for the British Sailing Team during Rio 2016, quickly publishing news stories to the RYA website, designing time sensitive graphics swiftly (such as medal announcements) and administrating the British Sailing Team Twitter account, as well as designing and sending the daily email newsletter.I have 13 years of experience in website, graphic and e-commerce design, development and administration, and email marketing. 17 years of experience in retail, including 7 at a management level. I opened my own retail store in Southampton in 2007 and operated with a small team for 7 years, including all design, development and administration of the website, as well as all promotion and social media management, and all purchasing, stock control and administration.Within this role I created and organised the world famous "Something For The Weekend" competition, an annual skateboard film creation event which gained sponsorship from Nike, Converse, Adidas, Vans and DC Shoes. The winning video in 2015 garnered more than 110,000 views.I have a passion for strong design and a clean aesthetic.
