I enjoyed a long and successful 24-year bird scaring career which came to an end as farmers made the switch to audible bird scarers.After being made redundant, I became an Office Assistant for a small accountancy firm in Colchester before leaving after four years to pursue a more hands-on career.I'm now taking some time off with the wife and scaresparrow as I decide on what to do next.In my spare time I'm working as a Public Representative promoting The Final Straw - a charity that helps raise awareness of scarecrow unemployment in the UK and provides support to scarecrows looking to up-skill and re-train in other land-based industries.Check them out at http://www.thefinalstraw.org
