I am an artist and tutor working in London. A Slade School of Fine Art Alumni holding a Post Compulsory PGCE from the Institute of Education. Awarded an AHRC grant, I explored relationships between art and science; the neural condition for art creation and visualizing conceptual models in physics. I have exhibited in shows in the UK and abroad including The London Group's Centenary Open and ARSciE at Blyth Gallery, Imperial College London. I teach creative digital skills for artists and entrepreneurs and gained funding for action research on digital wellbeing with vulnerable learners.My art practice explores ways to experience ‘objects’ in relation to how we perceive them. I make ‘looking’ active rather than reactive, showing different viewpoints and using computers to extract information from inside and outside of the body. Testing how these techniques could help people on a therapeutic level interests me. Current research includes using interactive digital art, and scientific and medical imaging to promote meaningful relationships; using this to affect learning and foster a healthy perception of body and mind. I delivered presentations of the research at The National Gallery, London and was nominated to submit a proposal to Digital International Creative Arts Therapies Symposium, which brought together creative arts therapists and interdisciplinary innovators across the world.
