• Supervised the daily activities of the inspection personnel in the QA group. • Managed budget allocations for inspection activities for both labor and materials. • Reviewed product specifications and statements-of-work for inclusion of QA requirements to be imposed on SSCL vendors and subcontractors. • Participated in pre-award QA surveys and evaluations for selection of SSCL vendors and subcontractors. • Helped develop the division’s QA program through the writing and implementation of procedures covering all activities relative to quality assurance. • Designed an inspection lab for the division and wrote procurement specifications for capital equipment to include a contact CMM, vision based non-contact CMM, optical comparator and a full complement of hand tools, surface plates, height gages and the like. • Worked closely with the Mechanical Engineering and Design groups on issues of producibility, geometric tolerancing (GD&T) and inspection requirements for both prototype and production hardware.
