For the last six years I have been working as a project manager focused on providing major UK financial institutions with management of their self-service automation programmes - either in a PMO role, fast-paced business-as-usual operations, or with the principle contractor remit for major replacement programme work. In the two years prior to this I was the operations manager for an ATM installation and security products company. I have gained extensive experience of small works construction projects, including planning working in highly regulated environments, such as airports, and covering all aspects of health and safety in construction including production of RAMS and permit documentation, which I have further developed through SMSTS training and completion of a NEBOSH Certificate in Health and Safety in Construction.Prior to my ATM industry specialisation I enjoyed a varied employment background in several different industries, and this has allowed me to accumulate an unusually broad skill set; giving me a strong advantage in planning for, and dealing with, challenging or rapidly evolving situations and a wide range of people. My experience also leaves me flexible and open to new ideas and methods, and likewise more creative with problem-solving and alternative thinking.I also have significant teaching experience (PGCE Secondary ICT – Secondary school IT teaching certificate, QTS – qualified teacher status, and CELTA - Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) which I bring to bear in influencing and managing a wide range of people with diverse skills and abilities, including mentoring, coaching and training. My strong IT background has been an advantage throughout my employment, and not only do I assimilate new technology and niche technical areas quickly, but I am actively interested in developing specialist skills and knowledge.
