Having taken early retirment at the start of 2022 I have since setup my own consulting company. In conjunction with Colehouse I have worked 6 months at Pay.UK from Sept 2022 - Feb 2023.During this time I led all discussions and development of the Liquidity and Settlement model to be used within the proposed NPA system. In this capacity I also had a major part in communication with Participant organisations via the Pay.UK Retail Liquidity and Settlement Group (RSLG) in which the issues of management of liquidity requirements through migration into NPA and beyond were discussed with senior treasury stakeholders. The role also included close liaison with the Bank of England and the Government Banking Service. This led to further high level design work aimed at catering for the requirements of Government Banking within NPA whilst opening the design to new additional participation options. I have also provided input into the Vendor selection for the NPA programme.From March 2023 I have once again been enjoying retirment, however I am once again available for contract roles.

Primary focus, Faster Payments for Pay.UK.Numerous initiatives and improvements directed following 2018 major incident including the establishment of a major incident recovery and reconciliation process involving Central Infrastructure and all direct FPS Participants (MIDEP).Also design and implementation of changes to support dynamic flow controls over payment delivery (Payment Flow constraint).Input to NPA primarily focused on the design of the settlement and collateralisation model and improvements to payment messaging flows. In this role I had frequent contact with the Bank of England particularly with respect to settlement services and payment standards issues.

My role was to provide technical SME support to the Faster Payments company and its Participants. I was responsible for the certification testing programme used by new Particpants wishing to join Faster Payments, and by existing Participants undergoing regression testing and recertification following the application of changes. During this period Faster Payments changed its colateralisation model, with changes to introduce dedicated collateralisation accounts for each settling Participant.

This work involved another round of full functional acceptance testing of the FPS Central Infrastructure to ensure the enhancements and existing functionality werefit for purpose.

Contracted by Logica, full time to APACS/UK Payments.Feb 2007 - Dec 2009 UKPayments (Formally APACS). working on the UK Faster Payments project.During that time my roles changed although I was essentially providing Technical consultancy to the central delivery team.Amongst the work carried out I was responsible for the formal functional acceptance testing of the UK Faster Payments central infrastructure on behalf of the UK Payments team.

Following the Santander take-over I became a Technical Architect working with the international team to revise the IT infrastructure. During this time I became Sanatander's technical representative on the design committee for Faster Payments. My role involved internally working with the development team who designed and implemented Santander's interface to Faster Payments.
