Led the team producing the FY 17/18 MOD People Plan; detailed the vision, principles, data capture requirements, performance targets and reporting and assurance regime for the HR function.

Led the logistic planning team in the MOD’s Defence Crisis Management Organisation. Cohered the cross-Defence logistic planning for theatres of operation; monitored the performance of the Defence Support Chain; and made recommendations for the mitigation of key risks and competing priorities.

Led the up to 1000 strong military and civilian team that formed my Regiment. I set the vision, strategy, training and operating standards for the organisation. Time in command included a tour of Afghanistan and subsequent winding up of the organisation on return.

I have seen operational service in Afghanistan, Iraq, Sierra Leone, Bosnia, Kosovo and as part of a UN monitoring force. As well as being a military response planner and COBRA briefing team member during the 2000 Fuel Crisis, 2001 Foot and Mouth epidemic and the Firemen’s Strike in 2002.
