Manage and lead the Scottish Ambulance Service Air Ambulance provision across all NHS Scotland Health Board areas.Enable the Air Ambulance Service to achieve its operational, clinical and strategic aims, objectives and goals in line with the wider Scottish Ambulance Service Strategy and local delivery plan. To develop and implement innovative strategies, policies, plans, systems and resources to maintain efficient and effective development, management and operation of all areas of the Air Ambulance Service.To develop Air Ambulance services and staff to deliver excellence in all areas of operation through effective managerial and clinical leadership, innovation, communication and motivation.To work collaboratively with ScotSTAR Retrieval Teams across Scotland.

This is a national post which provides specialist advice, guidance and training to operating divisions and departments across the Scottish Ambulance Service on all aspects of the NHS Knowledge and Skills Framework, Job Evaluation Scheme and the wider interpretation and implementation of the Terms and Conditions of Service.The post is an integral part of the HR Team with specific responsibility for managing and promoting the NHS Knowledge and Skills Framework and its links to performance management and the achievement of organisational objectives.The post holder will provide leadership and direction to job evaluation panellists and analysts in all aspects of job evaluation as well as to all departments across the Service regarding the development and monitoring of job descriptions.
